IATSE International President Matthew D Loeb sent a letter to locals encourageing local officers to get the word out on the benefits of getting vaccinated.
In the letter he states "We have reached a pivotal moment in ending the pandemic as just over 50% of Americans have received at least the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. However, as the initial rush to get immunized subsides, there is a significant risk of national immunity flatlining and losing the tremendous progress we have already made. Make no mistake: If we do not have enough folks vaccinated to reach herd immunity, new variants could eventually threaten the live events industry once again.".
